Kamukama Foundation Students Visit Youth Camp in Kampala

54 secondary students sponsored by the Kamukama Foundation travelled 11 hours to attend a 5 day Youth Camp in Kampala. For almost all of our students, it was their first time leaving their villages.

Through a series of activities, the youth camp helped to empower students to set career goals. Students practiced skills ranging from team building exercises, to critical thinking, to management. They learned vocational skills and key values required to be successful in their careers.

We are proud of our Youth Camp attendees and can’t wait to see how they use what they learned to impact their schools and communities in Uganda – a country where 87% of graduates are unemployed.
