Our hearts are full as we look back on two joy-filled and mission-driven Maj for a Mission events this fall. From the laughter around the mahjong tables to the shared commitment to our mission, these gatherings were truly special. We are deeply grateful to our generous underwriters and supporters, our prize donors who added extra fun, our committee members who gave of their time, and everyone who joined us to make these events such a success.

Austin proudly celebrated its 10th annual Maj for a Mission, bringing together more than 220 women for an evening of mahjong, meaningful connection, and celebration of the work of the Kamukama Foundation. A heartfelt thank you to Ann Burke and Margy Kennedy, who shared moving reflections from their visit to Bwindi. Their words brought both laughter and tears, inspiring our guests to invest in the lives of the precious children we are honored to serve.

The Bay Area Maj for a Mission continues to grow by leaps and bounds. This year’s 4th annual event gathered more than 150 women for a fun afternoon of mahjong and meaningful support of the incredible milestones being achieved in Uganda. Special thanks to our outstanding co-chairs, Sarah Jones and Susie Frimel, whose leadership, vision, and big hearts made this event possible.

Maj for a Mission plays a vital role in raising critical funds to support the children and families we are honored to walk alongside. We look forward to gathering again this fall!
